FAQs

All BDSP plugins should work great in any DAW that supports VST3/AU plugins. We encourage you to double-check compatibility with your setup before purchasing.

Free demo versions of every plugin are available to download here. Except for occasionally silencing all output, all demo versions are identical to their respective standard versions.

The more plugin formats we support, the more time it takes to update plugins and create new ones. With that in mind, we decided to only support 64-bit VST3 and 64-bit AU, as nearly all DAWs will support at least one of those formats.

We do not offer refunds. We think this is fair for the following reasons:

  • You can explore the demo version of each plugin for as long as you need to ensure compatibility with your setup and to see if you actually need/want that plugin.
  • After purchasing a plugin all previous versions of the plugin are available for you to download here.

Yes. Our plugins work on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

You can find all your downloads in the Downloads section of your account page. If you made a purchase and the plugins you bought are not showing up in your account send an email to [email protected] with your FastSpring order reference number so we can confirm your purchase and manually add the plugins to your account.

There are a few ways to get notified about plugin updates:

  • Sign up for our mailing list. We’ll send updates whenever there’s a new version of a plugin
  • Follow us on social media

Nope. Once you purchase a plugin, all future updates are free.

Nope. Once you purchase one of our plugins you may install it on as many devices as you need.

Windows:

  • Delete the VST3 folder located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\BDSP\[Plugin Name].vst3
  • Delete the folder containing your presets, settings, and user manual located at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\BDSP\[Plugin Name]

Mac:

  • Delete the VST3 file located at /Library/Audio/Plugins/VST3/[Plugin Name].vst3
  • Delete the AU file located at /Library/Audio/Plugins/Components/[Plugin Name].component
  • Delete the folder containing your presets, settings, and user manual located at ~/Music/Audio Music Apps/BDSP/[Plugin Name]

Most DAWs will not recognize VST3 or AU plugins installed outside of the default folder, which is why we don’t offer the option in our installers to change the install location.

The more emails we send that bounce the more our sender reputation is impacted, which makes it more likely that emails we send to you will not reach your inbox.

In order to make sure our emails continue to reach your inbox we validate every email address used to register for an account, sign up for email updates, and fill out the support form.

Here are the most common reasons your email would be marked as invalid:

  • The email address you entered does not exist
  • The email address you entered has run out of storage space and is not accepting new emails

If the email address you enter fails validation, please double-check that there are no typos in the address. If the address is still being flagged as invalid please send an email to [email protected] and we will try to resolve the issue for you.

Yes. All payment processing is handled by FastSpring, we never have access to your payment details.

Nothing in particular. BDSP was founded and is still operated by a single person whose initials are BDS. Considering we make Digital Signal Processing (DSP) plugins, it only seemed fitting to combine the 2 into the name BDSP.
